Better Programming

Programming is available in the existing facility but has been limited by the lack of space and separation requirements.

Current Programs and Services: 

• Recreation 2 times per week - mandated by Iowa code

• Mental health services via telehealth

• Religious services - minister will come in at their request

• Medical services available to all inmates

• Attorney visitation

• Work release - must be within Page County and approved by the Sheriff

The proposed new jail will provide opportunity and dedicated space for programs that offer assistance with rehabilitation, growth, and second chances. By investing in programming initiatives, we can empower individuals to make positive changes, rebuild their lives, and contribute to a safer and more inclusive society.
